NEW DELHI, Oct 1 Reuters India collected 1.73 trillion rupees 20.64 billion in gross goods and services tax GST in September, a rise of 6.5 from the same period last year, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.

The government had collected 1.63 trillion rupees as GST in the same month last year. After refunds, the government39;s net GST mopup in September rose about 4 yearonyear to 1.53 trillion rupees, the statement said.
