Oct 30 Reuters Spain39;s European Unionharmonised 12month inflation rate rose to 1.8 in October from 1.7 in the period through September, preliminary data released by the National Statistics Institute INE, showed on Wednesday.

The 12month EUharmonised inflation was in line with the 1.8 expected by analysts polled by Reuters.

Annual core inflation, which strips out volatile fresh food and energy prices, was 2.5 in October, up from 2.4 in the period through September, the INE data showed.

Spain39;s national inflation rose to 1.8 in the 12 months through October, up from 1.5 in September, INE said.
